Written by Ainslie Masterton and the cast based on research archive documents by Isabel Menzies Lyth, this is an interactive performance exploring Isabel Menzies Lyth’s field notes on the experiences of nurses and other NHS staff across its 70 year history. East 15 Community Theatre in collaboration with Tavistock Institute of Human Relations, will draw on archival material held in Wellcome Library to create this unique performance.

This performance will be taking place at the Wellcome Collection, 183 Euston Road, London NW1 2BE. Tickets will be allocated on a first come first served basis at the Wellcome Collection Reading Room on the day of the performance – please arrive in good time to avoid disappointment!

Gecko Theatre Associate Director, Rich Rusk, will be working with the Physical Theatre actors to create this piece of visual and physical theatre.

An ensemble celebration of imagination, with stories collected throughout time from Stone Henge to The Yangtze River, featuring Norse Mythology, Mayan Sun Gods, Pagan rituals and an inner-city school plagued with mythical beasts, The Deep will uncover the unlimited power of an over active imagination and invite us to consider where stories come from.
